    Anyone who has tried to build a higher end partscaster has run into the problem of the bodies being too thin.  The majority of Squiers on the market are between 39-42mm thick and they will not accommodate the larger USA potentiometers and bridges.  These full thickness bodies are pretty hard to come by, and is the perfect base for your relic guitar project.
