Item Description :
This is a vintage Japanese pottery tea caddy of Bizen Ware, which was
made by a famous 1st class potter, Masashi Shibaoka (the 3rd Kozan Shibaoka) (1946-)
about 30 years ago.
He is the 1st class potter, who was officially recognized as the Japanese Traditional Craftman from Japanese Government in 2008.

The lid is also made of pottery.
The original cloth bag, 'Shifuku, called in Japanese' is attached.
The signature of the potter is carved on the bottom. The original wooden box with the signature of the potter is also included.
Bizen ware is a type of Japanese pottery most identifiable by its ironlike hardness, reddish brown color, absence of glaze, and marklings resulting from wood-burning kiln firing.
