Nelson was drafted by the New York Islanders in the 1st round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and has spent his entire 11-year professional hockey career with the Islanders following two seasons with the University of North Dakota.
He has been a consistent producer, recording over 400 NHL points in just under 700 NHL games, and is off to a hot start through the early part of the 2022-23 season. Nelson has represented the United States on several occasions, earning bronze at World Junior Championship in 2011 and World Championships in 2015.
This jersey was donated by the New York Islanders in support of the Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA) REDLINE program.
