Beautiful Pair of Antique Japanese Tea Caddy Canisters Chazutsu - Flowers

Description

This is a charming pair of antique, Japanese, hand-painted, lacquered tea canisters or Chazutsu.  Each canister still has it's second, interior, fitted lid with a brass knob.  The metal is tin plated steel, durable, and very lightweight. The painting is very fine and detailed.
The canisters depict beautiful nature, and each highlights flowers and plants.  One shows a small bird flying directly towards a beautiful clump of red and golden leaves, flowers and grasses.  The other canister depicts a butterfly wafting towards beautiful sliver and gold blossoms  Both canisters are in good condition, with light, age-appropriate wear, such as fine scratches and tiny paint losses. The outer lids fit very snugly.  Please see all photos and zoom in.  The canisters are a nice set; each is 4.5 inches high, and 3 inches in diameter.  These finely painted, old tea caddies look beautiful in groups, so please check out the others I am listing from my Mom's wonderful collection.  I am happy to combine shipping.
