Black Walnut Strat (Finished) Fender Stratocaster style Luthier Guitar Body

Description

Up for grabs is a one-of-a-kind, hand-built, solid Black Walnut (species Juglans nigra) Strat (Finished) Fender Stratocaster style guitar body, built by Midwest US luthiers Thad Ligon Guitars. This strat body is fully routed and has inner channels drilled for pickups/contols. No drilling has been done on the input jack plate holes, pickguard holes, pickup mounting holes, or the button strap drill holes.
This body has had sanding sealer applied, several coats of lacquer, and has been wet sanded down with 1000 & 2000 grit papers, as well as polished to a medium-high shine. The inner neck pocket may need mild sanding to remove lacquer, as even among Genuine Fender necks, there can be slight width variances at the neck heel.
There are a few errors that happened during the build, such as: a small chunk was torn out during routing (last picture), the top horn cut off and reattached (5th to last, and 2nd to last pictures), and a saw cut through the bottom curve of the body (4th and 3rd from last picture) which is not visible from the front.

The body weighs 5.1 lbs.
