    Description

    Coinage of Great Britain and Northern Ireland 1976 Proof Set. The special copper colored "coin" has a crown and Elizabeth R 1976 on one side. The other side shows a crown, coat of arms and the words Royal Mint.
    On the edge of United Kingdom coins, the letters D.C.REG.F.D always appear after the Queen's name. The letters stand for the Latin words Del Gratia Regina Fidei Defensor, which means By the Grace of God, Queen, Defender of the Faith.
    Ordered from Royal Mint while living in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Bought to give to our kids when they were grown. Put away for safe keeping and recently found while downsizing. Our family is grown, the grandkids are grown and none of them are interested in collecting coins. So selling as I don't want to hold on to them -waiting for great-grandkids.
