This is truly a highest class O-Natsume.
Resulted from a miracle collaboration by a highest zen priest & tea utensil artist in Kyoto.
- The zen priest is TACHIBANA Daiki (立花大亀). He was a head priest at Daitoku-Ji temple and passed away at his age 105 years old in 2005.
- The artist is INAO Seichuusai - the 3rd (稲尾誠中齋 - 三代目). He was born in a famous tea utensil artist family as the 3rd in 1947 and now recognized as one of top tea utensil artists in Kyoto.
- They closely collaborated to design and make this superb O-Natsume.
- The result is absolutely superb.
- It
has been kept in an ideal way, i.e. stored in two wooden boxes and a paper box.
The theme or title of this O-natsume is 'Mt. Fuji and Pine Trees along the Coast by Old Priest Daiki
' (大亀老師富士に浜松の絵 in Japanese). It is drawn on the wooden box at its right hand side (photo #12).
The old priest Daiki signed at the back of the lid of O-natsume (photo #6) as well as at the back of the lid of the  wooden box (photo #9).
Meanwhile, the artist engraved this mark at the bottom back of O-Natsume (photo #7) and signed at the left had side of the wooden box
(photo #12).
It is in absolutely excellent condition. Looks like brand new. No chips, cracks or marks at all.
White (shining) parts on photographs are reflection of light, i.e. not an issue.
As you can see on photo #1, it has been kept in an ideal way, i.e. stored in two wooden boxes and a paper box.
