This tea caddy depicts the scene of cherry blossom petals falling.
The luster increases depending on how you use it every day.
Not only the outer shell, but also the inside and the back of the lid are covered with precious cherry bark.
Since the tea caddy prevents light and moisture, it is perfect to keep the deliciousness of tea leaves.
The three colors are (from the top) cherry tree, cherry bark and maple bark.
This is an original tea caddy made by Fujiki Denshiro shop using a new manufacturing method.
Fujiki Denshiro Shop has been in business since 1851.
The more you use it, the glossier it becomes.
The color gradually changes to a calm color.

Kabazaiku   - Cherry Bark Work -
Kakunodate city, Akita Prefecture, is the only place in Japan where cherry bark is used to make the traditional Kabazaiku, cherry bark work.
Kabazaiku can be seen in the imperial property of Shosoin, and the beauty of its work is praised in Manyoshu and The Tale of Genji.
It is popular for celebrations such as Year Celebration, Birthday and Wedding.
*Manyoshu is the oldest extant collection of Japanese poetry compiled in the late 8th century.
*The Tale of Genji is a classic work of Japanese literature written in the early 11th century.
