    Description

    Up for sale is a Large Antique Japanese Ninsei Mark Bowl Very Old. It is freshly from estate sale in NY. The ivory white enamel surface has cracks from different ages; cracks colors vary from light to yellow to brown. I am confidents to say that it is pre-1800. As for how old it is exactly? I don't have knowledge to date it more specifically. It could be a very early Ninsei example. The diameter is from 9.2" to 9.5" as you can see it is not a perfect round shape. Its height is 3.8". Its weight is 2.2 lbs. There is a Ninsei mark on outer body close to foot rim. There are 6 contact spots (slightly bigger than rice size) evenly distributed in the bowl's inner body which make a circle about 4.5" in diameter. I think these contact spots are from kiln from a stacked item above the bowl. It is a rare old Japanese bowl. It has no body crack, no hairline, no chip, no repair.
