    Description

    Vintage Tea Chazutsu Black Lacquered Metal with Bird on Bamboo Tea Caddy.
    The little black lacquered tea caddy is painted with a scene of a bird that has alighted on the side of a large stalk of bamboo, with smaller, budded fronds surrounding it. The bird is looking alertly right at the viewer.   The brushwork is very pretty, and also lightly dimensional and raised; you can feel it with your finger. The colors are gold, red gold, a cinnabar red and a golden brown.   (In the last photo, this caddy is the one on the FAR RIGHT.  Please see my other listings to see the others.  I can combine shipping.)
    The caddy is in used, but good condition.  There are fine scratches, tiny paint dings and some little paint losses.  The interior is in good condition, with a little bit of rust.  See photos for condition!  It is a very sweet little caddy.
